NEW CRIMINAL INVESTIGATORS' SEMINAR
June 4-8, 2018
WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS SEMINAR: This five-day seminar is designed specifically for the new criminal investigator, personnel who anticipate future criminal investigation unit assignment, and those with little or no previous formal training on topics relating to the methodology and procedures involved in this phase of law enforcement.
OBJECTIVE OF THE PROGRAM: The overall and basic objective is to provide the new or soon to be criminal investigator with an understanding of various aspects of criminal investigation. Through instructor classroom presentations coupled with textbook readings and suggestive references connected to these classroom presentations, participants should gain a solid foundation and understanding of basic investigative techniques and be mentally prepared for more advanced study on the topic.

INSTRUCTORS: This will be a team-taught program led by Chief Edward Preston of the Morgantown Police Department. Other faculty will be selected based on their specific level of expertise relating to topical areas covered over the five days of instruction.
Program will be conducted June 4-8, 2018 at the Morgantown Police Department, 300 Spruce Street in Morgantown, West Virginia. Class will be in session 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each program day.
