HANDLING AND OVERSEEING CRISIS MANAGEMENT SITUATION: A SEMINAR FOR THE FIELD PATROL OFFICERS
November 13-14, 2017
This seminar is designed primarily for the law enforcement officer on the road. It will provide guidance for officers who are first on the scene of a major incident involving barricaded subjects, multiple vehicle crashes, HAZMAT, and similar crisis type situations. Topics include: 1) taking command; 2) communication; 3) identification of threats and vulnerability; 4)situational awareness; 5) setting perimeters; 5)resources needed to handle the situation; 6) mass casualty incidents; 7) setting perimeters; 8) what is an officers survival kit and do you have one; 9) turning command over; 10) dealing with the media; 11) excited delirium and positional asphyxia; 12) FEMA courses you can take to assist your in-service learning; and 13) thought processes of the officers
DATE/LOCATION/TIME: Seminar is scheduled for November 13-14, 2017 at the Cranford Police Department, 8 Springfield Avenue in Cranford, New Jersey. Class will be in session 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.
FEE: $295 per person;
